Ingredients
  

For the Walnut Milk:
  • 1 cup raw walnuts soaked for at least 4 hours
  • 3 cups filtered water
For the Shake:
  • 3 cups walnut milk the base of the shake
  • 2 cups sliced bananas fresh or frozen
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional
  • pinch sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons cacao nibs

  1. Step 1: Make the Walnut Milk: Drain the soaked walnuts and rinse them under cold water. In a high-speed blender, combine the soaked walnuts with 3 cups of filtered water. Blend on high for about 1-2 minutes until the mixture is creamy and frothy. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth to remove the pulp. Set the walnut milk aside.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Shake Ingredients: In the same blender (no need to clean it!), add the sliced bananas, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, vanilla extract, maple syrup (if using), and a pinch of sea salt. Pour in 3 cups of the freshly made walnut milk.
  3. Step 3: Blend Until Smooth: Blend all the ingredients on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If you like your shake chilled, feel free to add a handful of ice and blend again until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Serve and Garnish: Pour the Vegan Banana Bread Shake into glasses or jars. For a fun touch, sprinkle the top with cacao nibs for a little crunch and extra flavor. You can also add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a few banana slices as a garnish.
