Ingredients

For the Sauce:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise Use your favorite brand or homemade mayo for the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon water This helps to thin the sauce to your desired consistency.
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha Adjust the amount based on your heat preference.
  • 2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce This adds umami and depth to the flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil For a nutty undertone that complements the other ingredients.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring spoons
  • Storage Container

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Measure the Ingredients. Start by measuring out all your ingredients. This will make the mixing process easier and ensure you have everything on hand.
  2. Step 2: Combine the Mayo and Sriracha. In your mixing bowl, add the 1 cup of mayonnaise and 2 teaspoons of Sriracha. Use a whisk to combine these two ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Step 3: Add Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil. Next, pour in the 2 teaspoons of low-sodium soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully integrated.
  4. Step 4: Adjust Consistency. Add the 1 tablespoon of water to the mixture. This will help thin out the sauce. Stir until you reach your desired consistency. If you prefer a spicier sauce, feel free to add more Sriracha at this point.
  5. Step 5: Taste and Adjust Seasoning. Give your spicy mayo a taste. This is the time to adjust any ingredients to your liking. If it’s too spicy, add more mayo; if you want more heat, add another dash of Sriracha.
  6. Step 6: Store and Serve. Transfer your spicy mayo sauce into an airtight container. You can serve it immediately or let it chill in the refrigerator for a few hours to let the flavors meld together.

Notes

  • Start with less Sriracha and gradually increase for desired spice level.
  • If too thick, add more water, one teaspoon at a time.
  • Taste before serving to adjust flavors.
