Instructions:
- Step 1: Prepare the Marinade - In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until all ingredients are well blended.
- Step 2: Marinate the Steak - Place the skirt steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 4-6 hours for maximum flavor.
- Step 3: Preheat the Grill - Preheat your grill to medium-high heat to ensure a nice sear on your steak.
- Step 4: Grill the Steak - Remove the skirt steak from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the marinade. Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 3-5 minutes per side.
- Step 5: Rest and Slice - Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
- Always let the steak rest after cooking to retain its juices.
- Substitute soy sauce with tamari for a gluten-free option.
