Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Velveeta Cheese cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 10 ounces Rotel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies undrained

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups
  • Serving bowl

Method

  1. Start by cutting the Velveeta cheese into 1-inch cubes. This will help it melt evenly and quickly in the saucepan.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the cubed Velveeta cheese and the entire can of Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies (do not drain).
  3. Stir the mixture gently as it heats, allowing the cheese to melt fully. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  4. Once the cheese is fully melted and the ingredients are well combined, remove the saucepan from the heat. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve immediately with tortilla chips or your favorite dippables.

Notes

  • Stir constantly while melting to prevent sticking and burning.
  • If the dip becomes too thick, add a splash of milk to achieve your desired consistency.
  • Feel free to add proteins like ground beef or sausage for a heartier dip.
