Ingredients

For the Pizza Rolls:
  • 14-16 ounces pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Pastry brush
  • Rolling Pin

Method

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using store-bought pizza dough, bring it to room temperature. Roll out homemade dough to 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Cut the dough into 3-inch squares. Mix chopped pepperoni and shredded mozzarella cheese in a bowl. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square.
  3. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal. Optionally, roll sealed dough into a ball.
  4. Combine melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush the mixture over the tops of each roll.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the rolls on it. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Let the rolls cool slightly before serving warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute pepperoni with bell peppers, mushrooms, and spinach.
  • To freeze, arrange rolls in a single layer on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer bag.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and baked fresh just before serving.
