Ingredients
  

For the Tacos:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 ounce taco seasoning one envelope
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can chili beans 15.5-ounce, drained (optional)
  • 1 package Stand 'n Stuff Taco Shells 10-count
  • 2 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • to taste shredded lettuce
  • to taste chopped tomatoes
  • to taste guacamole
  • to taste salsa
  • to taste sour cream

Method
 

Preparation Steps:
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef. Cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Drain excess fat, stir in taco seasoning and water. If using chili beans, add them now. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. In a baking dish, stand the taco shells upright and fill them generously with the beef mixture.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the filled taco shells.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. While baking, prepare toppings like chopped tomatoes and shredded lettuce.
  8. Remove tacos from the oven, let cool for a minute, then serve with toppings.

Notes

  • For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey or chicken.
  • Make your own taco seasoning with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
