Ingredients

  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. Step 2: Grease and flour your 9-inch round cake pans to prevent sticking.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Add the eggs, buttermilk, hot water, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  5. Step 5: Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Step 6: To make the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy, then mix in cocoa powder and powdered sugar, followed by cinnamon, milk, and vanilla.
  7. Step 7: Once the cakes are cool, frost the top of one layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the top and sides.
