Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Thyme
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Equipment

  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk or Jar with Lid
  • Small bowl
  • Storage Container

Method

  1. Start by measuring out your balsamic vinegar, olive oil, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Having everything ready to go makes the process smooth and quick.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
  3. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously. This will help to emulsify the dressing and create a smooth texture.
  4. Add the fresh thyme, followed by salt and pepper to taste. Continue to whisk until everything is well blended.
  5. Give your dressing a taste. If you prefer it sweeter, add a little more maple syrup. If you need more acidity, a splash of additional balsamic vinegar can do the trick.
  6. If you're not using the dressing immediately, transfer it to a storage container and refrigerate. It can be stored for up to a week. If serving immediately, drizzle over your favorite salad or dish and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Shake or stir before using, as the ingredients may separate over time.
  • Feel free to experiment with different vinegars for varied flavors.
