  • 2 pounds chicken wings, cut separate into drumettes and wingettes
  • 1 cup chicken broth or water
  • 3/4 cup hot sauce choose your favorite brand
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar or honey balances the heat
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter for richness
  • 1 tablespoon paprika adds depth of flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray for the baking sheet

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the hot sauce, brown sugar (or honey), butter, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Lightly spray your baking sheet with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  5. Arrange the wings on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. For extra crispy wings, broil for the last 2-3 minutes. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  7. Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

  • For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the marinade.
