Ingredients
  

For the Latte:
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar adds unique flavor profile
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk creamy base
  • 1/4 cup water to dissolve sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract enhances coconut flavor
  • 1 shot espresso heart of the latte
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons coconut syrup extra sweetness
  • 4 to 6 ounces steamed milk with foam for creamy texture
  • coconut sugar for sprinkling
  • toasted coconut for topping

Equipment

  • Espresso machine or coffee maker
  • Small Saucepan
  • Whisk or frother

  • Serving glass or mug

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the coconut sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once the coconut sugar has dissolved, add the coconut milk and coconut extract. Stir continuously until heated through but not boiling. Remove from heat.
  3. While the mixture is heating, brew a shot of espresso using your espresso machine or coffee maker.
  4. In your serving glass or mug, pour the shot of espresso, then add the coconut syrup and the warm coconut milk mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Froth your milk until it’s light and foamy, then pour it over the espresso and coconut mixture.
  6. Sprinkle coconut sugar on top and garnish with toasted coconut.
