Ingredients

For the Chicken:
  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs Boneless and skinless
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger peeled and minced
  • 1.5 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 0.5 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil for cooking
  • 1 tablespoon white sesame optional for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Measuring spoons

Method

Preparation Steps:
  1. Start by patting the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces for quick cooking.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt until combined. Set aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 6-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken in the skillet. Stir well to coat the pieces evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and transfer the chicken to a serving dish. Optionally, sprinkle with white sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Make sure to dry the chicken thoroughly before cooking for a nice sear.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha based on your spice preference.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
