Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (or honey for a natural alternative)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (pressed)
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Gather all the ingredients listed above.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, pour in 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar (or honey). Whisk together until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Press 4 cloves of fresh garlic into the bowl. Add 2 teaspoons of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Stir to combine.
  4. Slowly drizzle in 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil while continuously whisking to emulsify the dressing.
  5. Taste the vinaigrette and adjust sweetness or tanginess as desired.
  6. Transfer the vinaigrette into a jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Consume within one week for optimal freshness.
  • Shake well before using, as the ingredients may separate.
