Servings: 4 servings
Course: Salad
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup red grapes halved
  • 1 large banana sliced
  • 2 kiwis peeled and sliced
  • 1 orange peeled and sectioned
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving Spoon

Method

  1. Start by washing all the fruits thoroughly. Hull and slice the strawberries, halve the grapes, and slice the banana and kiwis. Peel the orange and separate it into sections, ensuring all seeds are removed.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine all the prepared fruits: strawberries, blueberries, red grapes, banana, kiwis, and orange sections. Be careful not to mash the fruits; you want to keep their shape and texture intact.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, fresh orange juice, and fresh lime juice until well combined. This dressing adds a delightful tang that elevates the flavors of the fruits.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the mixed fruits and toss gently to ensure all the fruits are coated evenly.
  5. Transfer the fruit salad to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh mint leaves. This not only adds a pop of color but also an aromatic touch that complements the dish beautifully.

Notes

  • For added variety, include seasonal fruits like peaches in summer or pomegranates in fall.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator.
  • Avoid using overly ripe fruits to maintain the salad's texture.
