Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 2 free-range eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 slices bread your choice
  • Maple syrup for topping
  • fresh fruit for topping

Equipment

  • Waffle maker
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. If required, lightly grease the plates with cooking spray or melted butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Allow excess liquid to drip off before placing on the waffle maker.
  4. Place the dipped bread slices onto the waffle maker. Close the lid and cook for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Once cooked, carefully remove the waffles and serve immediately. Top with warm maple syrup and fresh fruit.
