Ingredients

  • 8 ounces brick-style cream cheese very well-softened (lite is okay)
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese divided (3/4 cup + 3/4 cup)
  • 1 cup finely grated parmesan cheese divided (1/2 cup + 1/2 cup)
  • 1 heaping cup pizza sauce or your favorite marinara or red sauce
  • About 15 pepperoni slices or as needed to cover surface of pie dish

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Pie dish or baking pan
  • Oven
  • Serving Platter

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure your dip gets bubbly and golden brown.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the very well-softened cream cheese with 3/4 cup of the grated mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of the finely grated Parmesan cheese. Use a spatula to mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce over the cheese mixture in the bowl. Stir gently to incorporate the sauce into the cheese.
  4. Transfer the cheesy mixture to a pie dish or baking pan, spreading it evenly. Top with the remaining 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese.
  5. Place the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese layer, covering the surface of the dip.
  6. Bake the dip in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two. Serve warm with your choice of dippers.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
  • Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
