Ingredients

  • 24 cupcakes vanilla cupcakes (or any flavor of your choice)
  • 1 recipe vanilla frosting (or any frosting flavor you prefer)
  • 1.5 cups sprinkles (choose any colors that match your theme)

Equipment

  • Cupcake pan
  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer
  • Spatula
  • Pastry bag
  • Small piping tip

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your cupcake pan with paper liners. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients for your cupcake base, following your chosen recipe. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, alternating with milk, until your batter is smooth.
  2. Spoon the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  3. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Once baked, remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Once the cupcakes are completely cool, use a small knife or a cupcake corer to gently cut out a small circle from the center of each cupcake.
  5. Take your 1 1/2 cups of sprinkles and fill each cavity you created in the cupcakes.
  6. Using your prepared frosting, either spread a generous dollop on top of each cupcake or use a pastry bag to pipe it on for a more decorative touch.
  7. Add extra sprinkles on top of the frosting for a fun touch. Your Easy Piata Cupcakes are now ready to be enjoyed!

Notes

  • Make sure your butter is at room temperature for the best creaming results.
  • Use high-quality sprinkles to enhance the visual appeal and taste.
  • If you're using a piping bag, make sure to cut a small hole to control the amount of frosting dispensed.
  • Test the doneness of your cupcakes a minute or two before the timer goes off to avoid overbaking.
