Ingredients

For the Salmon:
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (8-ounce, skin-off)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 juiced lemon
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Spatula
  • Measuring spoons
  • Citrus juicer
  • Knife and cutting board

Method

Method:
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Mince the garlic and juice the lemon. This will make the cooking process smoother and faster.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, water, and crushed red pepper flakes. Set aside. This sauce will be the star of your dish!
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Allow the butter to melt completely, creating a rich base for cooking the salmon.
  4. Once the skillet is hot, season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. Carefully place the fillets in the skillet, skin side down if applicable. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon fillets in the skillet. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 2-3 minutes, spooning it over the salmon to glaze each piece.
  6. Once the salmon is fully cooked and coated in the delicious sauce, remove it from the heat. Serve immediately, spooning more sauce over the top if desired. Enjoy your Easy Honey Garlic Salmon with a side of steamed vegetables or over a bed of rice!

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets, so keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.
