For the Pancakes:
  • 1 box Pillsbury Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/3 cup oil (vegetable or canola)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • Pillsbury Frosting (optional for garnishing)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Griddle or non-stick skillet
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients. Start by gathering all the ingredients listed above. Having everything on hand will make the process smoother and quicker.
  2. Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, combine the box of Pillsbury Chocolate Cake Mix, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk them together until they are well combined.
  3. Step 3: Combine Wet Ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and oil until they are thoroughly mixed.
  4. Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Gently fold the mixture together with a spatula.
  5. Step 5: Heat the Griddle. Preheat your griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat. To test if it’s ready, sprinkle a few drops of water on the surface.
  6. Step 6: Cook the Pancakes. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Step 7: Serve and Garnish. Once cooked, stack the pancakes on a plate. Drizzle some Pillsbury Frosting over the top for an extra indulgent touch.
