Instructions
- Start by rinsing your chicken wings under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, sea salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, and ground oregano. Stir until well blended.
- Take the chicken wings and sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over them. Toss the wings until they are well coated.
- Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the seasoned wings, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
- Transfer the wings to the Crock Pot. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the wings from the Crock Pot and place them on a baking sheet. Brush the remaining BBQ sauce over them.
- For crispy skin, preheat your oven’s broiler. Broil the wings for about 3-5 minutes until they reach your desired crispiness.
- Serve your Crock Pot Chicken Wings hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the wings overnight.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure wings are cooked to 165°F (75°C).
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
