Ingredients
  

For the Pinwheels:
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 8oz. cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups diced cooked chicken *use rotisserie chicken for convenience
  • 1 4oz. can green chiles do not drain
  • 2 tbsp diced black olives optional
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • to taste sour cream for serving

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for even baking.
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, taco seasoning, diced chicken, green chiles (with liquid), and black olives (if using). Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Step 3: Unroll the crescent rolls onto a clean surface and pinch the seams together to seal.
  4. Step 4: Spread an even layer of the chicken filling over each rectangle of dough, leaving a small edge around the sides.
  5. Step 5: Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log shape from one long side.
  6. Step 6: Slice the rolled dough into bite-sized pinwheels, about 1 inch thick.
  7. Step 7: Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Step 8: Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with sour cream for dipping.

Notes

  • For a crunchier texture, add diced bell peppers or corn.
  • Use shredded beef or turkey for a different protein option.
  • Chill the rolled pinwheels for 30 minutes before baking for better shape.
