Ingredients

For the Sliders:
  • 1 pound ground beef high-quality
  • 1/2 cup water for beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cube beef bouillon
  • 1/2 cup water for onions
  • 12 pieces dinner rolls Parker house shape, 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” size
  • Dill hamburger slices for topping

Equipment

  • Large skillet or griddle
  • Spatula
  • Steamer basket or lid
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, 1/2 cup of water, and salt. Mix until just combined; avoid overworking the meat to keep it tender.
  2. In the same skillet, add the diced onions and 1/2 cup of water. Crumble the beef bouillon cube over the onions and stir. Cook over medium heat until the onions are translucent and tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. While the onions are cooking, shape the beef mixture into small patties that are slightly larger than your dinner rolls.
  4. Once the onions are cooked, push them to the edges of the skillet and place the patties in the center. Cover the skillet with a lid or steamer basket, allowing the patties to steam for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  5. While the patties are cooking, slice the dinner rolls in half. Once the patties are done, place one on the bottom half of each roll, top with cooked onions, and add a dill pickle slice.
  6. Cover the sliders with the top half of the rolls and serve immediately while they are still hot and delicious!

Notes

  • Allow sliders to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
  • For longer storage, freeze sliders wrapped in plastic wrap for up to 2 months.
  • Rewarm in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
