Ingredients

  • 110 g condensed milk
  • 110 g butter softened
  • 160 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 g white chocolate chopped or chips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Dried fruit or almond flakes (optional)

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or electric mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Cooling rack

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F). This ensures that your cookies will bake evenly.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the cookies from sticking and make for an easier cleanup.
  3. Step 3: Cream the Butter and Condensed Milk: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and condensed milk. Using a whisk or an electric mixer, cream them together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Step 4: Add Vanilla and Oil: Stir in the vanilla extract and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
  5. Step 5: Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Fold in the Chocolate: Gently fold in the chopped white chocolate and any optional dried fruit or almond flakes you wish to include in your cookies.
  7. Step 7: Form the Cookies: Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie for spreading.
  8. Step 8: Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will firm up as they cool.
  9. Step 9: Cool and Enjoy: Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely. Enjoy your delicious Condensed Milk Cookies!

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if cookies spread too much.
  • Ensure butter is at room temperature for best results.
  • Reduce condensed milk slightly if cookies are too sweet.
  • Bake a minute or two longer for a firmer texture.
