Chocolate Covered Strawberry Brownies Cooking Guide
  1. Start by preheating your oven to the temperature indicated on the brownie mix box. Grease your 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later. In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix with the necessary ingredients as specified on the box, typically eggs, oil, and water. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  2. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake according to the package instructions, usually around 20-25 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center of the brownies; it should come out with a few moist crumbs but not wet batter. Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  3. While the brownies are cooling, prepare the ganache. In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy whipping cream. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between until the chocolate is fully melted and combined with the cream, creating a smooth ganache.
  4. Once the brownies are completely cool, pour the warm chocolate ganache over the brownies, spreading it evenly to cover the entire surface. Allow the ganache to set for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Carefully arrange the halved strawberries on top of the set ganache. You can place them in rows or create a beautiful pattern.
  6. For the best presentation and ease of cutting, place the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the ganache to firm up. Once set, use a sharp knife to cut into squares, wiping the knife clean between cuts for neat edges.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy whipping cream with full-fat coconut milk.
  • You can make your own brownie mix using cocoa powder, flour, sugar, and eggs.
  • Try using raspberries or sliced bananas instead of strawberries for a twist.
