Ingredients
  

  • 6 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cherry-flavored chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a double boiler or a microwave-safe bowl, melt together the unsweetened baking chocolate and unsalted butter until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs with vanilla extract and salt until frothy.
  4. Add sugar and light corn syrup to the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the egg and sugar mix, stirring until blended.
  6. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
  7. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips and cherry-flavored chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 30-35 minutes.
  9. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra cherry flavor, fold in chopped fresh or frozen cherries into the batter.
  • Cool completely before cutting for cleaner edges.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Freeze wrapped tightly for up to 3 months.
