Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices your favorite bread crusty sourdough recommended
  • 2 tablespoons pesto
  • 2 slices Craig's Creamery Medium Cheddar Cheese mild or sharp based on preference
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Equipment

  • Panini Press
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients on the counter.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of pesto evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of cheese on top of the pesto on each slice of bread.
  4. Carefully form a sandwich with the pesto and cheese sides facing each other.
  5. Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on the outer side of the sandwich.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the sandwich, buttered side down.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  8. Add remaining butter to the top side, flip the sandwich, and cook another 3-4 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a sturdy bread to hold the filling well.
  • Try adding fresh vegetables for a nutritious twist.
  • Serve with a side salad or soup for a complete meal.
