  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Spread the miniature pretzels evenly across the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, water, and coarse salt. Stir continuously until the butter is melted and the mixture begins to boil. Allow it to boil without stirring for about 5 minutes, or until it reaches a golden brown color.
  5. Once the caramel reaches the desired color, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the hot caramel over the pretzels, ensuring that they are evenly coated.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Remove the pretzels from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet.

Notes

  • Watch the caramel closely; it can burn quickly.
  • For extra crunch, add chopped nuts with the pretzels.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
