Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich:
  • 8 slices artisan sourdough bread
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • to taste Butter for grilling
  • to taste Garlic salt with parsley flakes for flavor

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Start by laying out your slices of artisan sourdough bread. You’ll want to have 8 slices ready for assembly. Next, take your cheddar and provolone cheese slices and set them aside.
  2. Spread a generous layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread. This will ensure a perfectly golden crust.
  3. On the unbuttered side of four slices, layer two slices of cheddar and two slices of provolone cheese. Sprinkle a pinch of garlic salt with parsley flakes on top of the cheese for added flavor. Top with the remaining four slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
  4. Place your non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Allow it to warm up for a couple of minutes before adding the sandwiches.
  5. Carefully place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet, buttered side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Using your spatula, gently flip the sandwiches to the other side. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  7. Once cooked, remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute. Slice them in half diagonally and serve immediately for the best experience!
