Ingredients

For the Stir Fry:
  • 6 ounces uncooked wide rice flour noodles (rice sticks)
  • 1 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 cup green bean sprouts
  • 2/3 pound top sirloin steak (cut into thin strips)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha hot chile sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Pot for boiling noodles

Method

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Rice Noodles - Start by boiling a pot of water. Once boiling, add the wide rice flour noodles and cook according to package instructions until they are tender. Drain the noodles and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  2. Step 2: Marinate the Beef - In a bowl, combine the sliced top sirloin with the soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Allow it to marinate for about 10 minutes to soak up all the flavors.
  3. Step 3: Heat the Skillet - In a large skillet or wok, heat the canola oil over medium-high heat. Make sure the oil is hot before adding the beef to get a nice sear.
  4. Step 4: Cook the Beef - Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the beef is browned on the outside but still tender. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Step 5: Stir Fry the Vegetables - In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook for 2 minutes until they start to soften. Then add the sliced green onions and green bean sprouts. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes until the veggies are crisp-tender.
  6. Step 6: Combine Everything - Return the cooked beef to the skillet, along with the cooked rice noodles and Sriracha (if using). Drizzle the dark sesame oil over the mixture and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  7. Step 7: Serve - Serve your Beef Stir Fry with Flat Rice Noodles hot, garnished with extra green onions if desired. Enjoy the vibrant flavors and textures!
