Ingredients
  

For the Bagels:
  • 1 cup Unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup Non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 large Egg white or whole egg for brushing
  • 1 tablespoon Mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Method:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until blended.
  2. Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms. If too sticky, sprinkle in more flour.
  3. Transfer to a floured surface and knead gently for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 pieces and shape each into a bagel.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  6. Mix the chocolate chips with a sprinkle of cinnamon, press into the center of each bagel, and seal.
  7. Brush tops with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden.
  9. Cool on a wire rack and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftover bagels in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Freeze baked bagels for up to 2 months; reheat in the oven.
  • Experiment with different fillings and toppings for variety.
