  • 1.5 cups plain full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup or honey or agave nectar
  • 3 to 4 tbsp acai powder or frozen acai berries
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt for topping
  • 1 cup Unsweetened shredded coconut for garnish
  • 1 each Slices of apple for topping
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts for topping
  • 1/2 cup Pistachios for topping
  • 1 pinch Sprinkle of cinnamon for garnish

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving bowls
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method

Stepwise Method
  1. Start by placing the ripe banana, frozen blueberries (or mixed berries), Greek yogurt, almond milk, maple syrup (or honey/agave), acai powder (or frozen acai berries), and ground cinnamon into your blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more almond milk until you reach your desired consistency. The goal is a thick, smoothie-like texture that holds up well in a bowl.
  3. Divide the acai mixture evenly among your serving bowls.
  4. Top each bowl with a generous dollop of plain Greek yogurt. Then, add slices of fresh apple, walnuts, and pistachios for a delightful crunch. Finally, sprinkle some unsweetened shredded coconut and a pinch of cinnamon over the top for that extra flavor boost.
  5. These bowls are best served fresh! Grab a spoon and dig in for a deliciously nutritious treat.

Notes

  • Experiment with different fruits to customize your bowls.
  • For a vegan option, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt.
