Ingredients

  • 1 pound scallops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon Juice of one lemon
  • 1 tablespoon dill chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Tongs
  • Serving Platter

Method

  1. Begin by whisking together the olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the scallops to the bowl with the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
  3. While the scallops are marinating, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Once preheated, lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil. Place the marinated scallops in a single layer in the basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  5. Carefully remove the scallops from the air fryer using tongs and transfer them to a serving platter. Garnish with additional fresh dill and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Cooked scallops can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to three months.
  • To reheat, place them back in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Avoid freezing uncooked marinated scallops, as the texture may change upon thawing.
