Ingredients

For the Fries:
  • 1 pound russet potatoes fresh and firm
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • teaspoon pepper
  • teaspoon dried parsley
  • teaspoon dried oregano
Dipping Sauce (Optional):
  • ketchup
  • ranch
  • any sauce of your choice

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Method

Directions:
  1. Start by washing your russet potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Once clean, slice them into even sticks, about ¼ inch thick.
  2. For extra crispy fries, soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for about 30 minutes. After soaking, drain and dry them thoroughly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Toss them well to ensure all the fries are coated. Then, add the seasonings and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket and air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Once cooked, carefully remove the fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Freeze uncooked, seasoned fries on a baking sheet before transferring to a freezer bag.
